They instructed us to source someone who had a good financial crime skillset but also had knowledge of programming/IT background. The successful candidate would be able to integrate the compliance data with IT to make the process more efficient.
After a discussion about the role with the Head of Department, we were given a detailed description of the candidate profile we were looking for. This role was extremely niche as it required a very specific combination of skills with the desired candidate being experienced in both compliance and IT. We conducted our search by looking at potential candidates on LinkedIn who worked in compliance, we then investigated further into each person’s background to see if they had any knowledge or qualifications in IT or programming. We were able to source three candidates that matched the skillset criteria and sent their profiles over to the client. After a two-stage interview process, the client informed us they had one candidate in mind who stood out due to their vast knowledge and relevant experience in both fields.
Once the offer was accepted, we kept in close contact with both the candidate and the client to ensure there weren’t any issues. The candidate had a smooth onboarding and are currently happy within the role and effectively integrating within the team. Hiring the right candidate played a vital role in the successful establishment of this new department. We have kept in touch and are a long-term partner with this client following this part of their growth.
