About the Role
Are you a seasoned Compliance professional with exceptional leadership abilities? Are you passionate about strategic planning, execution, and enhancing Compliance processes? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as the Head of Compliance.

Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Compliance Leadership:
Act as the key go-to authority on compliance risks and matters within our management, fostering a strong Compliance culture.
  • Collaborative Advisory Role:
Collaborate with management to deliver timely, value-added compliance advice across the primary insurance value chain.
  • Regulatory Reporting and Oversight:
Report on regulatory developments and Compliance risk exposure to our board of directors and the our management team, contributing to mother companies Compliance reports.
  • Compliance Oversight and Training:
Provide compliance advice on the oversight of distributors and outsourced service providers, conduct specific compliance oversight as required, and develop tailored trainings and communications.
  • Support and Assurance:
Support the Assurance teams by working closely with Group Internal Audit and Risk Management, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

About the Compliance Team
Our Compliance Team operates in a dual capacity, serving governance and regulatory roles while enabling client functions across various units. We are a diverse, talented group with a global presence, providing valuable oversight throughout the insurance lifecycle.

About You
With your extensive experience in managing compliance operations, you bring exceptional analytical skills and a results-oriented work style. Your solid interpersonal skills enable you to influence in a complex cross-functional environment, and you possess a high sense of responsibility and initiative.

Additional Requirements:
  • Experience: Minimum 8 years of compliance experience, with significant expertise in AML, data protection, and conduct risk, operating in a leadership role in the European retail insurance market.
  • Industry Knowledge: Experience in retail insurance, including Life and Health products, as well as Property and Casualty.
  • Digital Transformation: Experience working on partner distribution models and digital transformation initiatives.
  • Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fluid, fast-paced environment, with a solid understanding of the European regulatory landscape.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven track record of talent development and motivating teams to deliver strong performance.
  • Technology Proficiency: Depth of understanding of technology and its utilization for efficiency and improvement gains in compliance programs.
  • Judgment: Sound judgment and the ability to balance professional independence with client service.
