Looking for a candidate with a technical background and experience in energy projects with focus on developing, structuring and overseeing operation and maintenance team of a geothermal power plant.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on electrical and automation systems within the ORC power plant, including generators, switchgear, control systems, and instrumentation.
- Conduct regular inspections and diagnostics to identify potential electrical or automation issues, implementing maintenance plans to ensure system reliability.
- Collaborate with the operations and engineering teams to develop and optimize maintenance schedules for electrical and automation components.
- Manage spare parts inventory related to electrical and automation systems, coordinating with procurement for timely availability of required components.
- Develop and implement safety procedures and protocols for electrical and automation maintenance activities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related field; relevant certifications.
- 5+ years proven experience in electrical and automation maintenance within power plants, with a focus on ORC technology would be a great plus.
- Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) Siemens Simatic 7, distributed control systems (DCS), and electrical protection systems.
- Strong understanding of electrical schematics, single-line diagrams, and control loop diagrams.
- Knowledge of relevant safety regulations and protocols in the power generation industry.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to make informed decisions under time constraints.
- Effective communication skills to coordinate with cross-functional teams and external service providers.
- Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) for efficient tracking of maintenance activities.
- German and English language speaker oral and writing.
- Willingness to travel within Europe of around 20%.
