What is the biggest problem your clients have when recruiting?

I work with a lot of clients in niche markets, so it’s difficult finding the volume of qualified candidates they’re looking for. I continue to build out a strong network of professionals so I can make connections even when appropriate candidates aren’t actively on the market.

What is the most important skill as a recruiter?

The most important skill as a recruiter is perseverance. Especially when working with a client on a difficult search, you have to be persistent in utilizing their knowledge and making new connections in a market.

What's the last book you read?

The Bad Seed by William March. It was amazing how timeless the story came across even though the classic was written in 50s.

I worked in theatre and fashion before transitioning into a career in recruitment.
