What is the biggest problem your clients have when recruiting?

When I ask my clients why they need my help on their opening, they often tell me that the candidates they’ve received thus far haven’t been specialized enough. Usually, the clients come to me because they know that, with my narrow specialization within the risk management space, I’ll really understand what they need and where to find it.

What is the most important skill as a recruiter?

Grit. You need to be able to withstand disappointment after disappointment and not lose faith in your goal.

What motivates you?

If you want to get really abstract about it, it all boils down to improving myself, and making myself into someone that other people value.

I write music and sing actively during my free time, and my music has been performed by ensembles in 28 countries around the world.
