Position Overview: The Underwriter for Property and Casualty Insurance will play a vital role in assessing risks, evaluating insurance applications, and determining appropriate coverage for our clients. Key Responsibilities:

1. Evaluate and underwrite property and casualty insurance applications, ensuring adherence to underwriting guidelines, risk appetite, and regulatory requirements.
2. Analyze risk exposures, loss history, and market trends to make informed decisions on coverage and pricing.
3. Develop and maintain relationships with brokers, agents, and clients to understand their needs, provide exceptional service, and foster long-term partnerships.
4. Collaborate with underwriting colleagues and other departments to share insights, streamline processes, and enhance operational efficiency.
5. Stay informed about industry developments, emerging risks, and regulatory changes to adapt underwriting practices and remain competitive in the market.
6. Provide support and assistance to senior underwriters and management as needed.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Insurance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in property and casualty underwriting, with a proven track record of success.
• Fluent in English and Dutch, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical abilities, with the capacity to assess and evaluate complex risks effectively.
• Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to delivering exceptional service.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
• Professional certifications such as CPCU, ACII, or equivalent are advantageous.
