Who Are We Looking For?

This is an outstanding opportunity for an AML/CFT professional to join the expanding and dynamic Compliance team with our client, a leading provider of fund-management solutions to asset managers globally.

Requirements for the Role

  • A university degree or equivalent qualification, preferably with relevant compliance or legal certification.
  • In-depth knowledge of Luxembourg legislation and regulation, particularly concerning AML/CTF (ideally including KYC on assets).
  • Experience with AIF and UCITS products.
  • Proven track record in preparing clients' risk profiles and conducting AML/KYC assessments.
  • Experience in a similar role, such as acting as MLRO/Responsable du Contrôle.
  • Eligibility for approval by the CSSF to act as Responsable du Contrôle.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to speak confidently in public.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Report to the Responsable du Contrôle of our client (Luxembourg) S.A.
  • Serve as Responsable du Contrôle for funds managed by the ManCo/AIFM.
  • Conduct due diligence visits to administrators and other fund delegates, and prepare due diligence reports for the boards of the respective funds.
  • Develop annual risk assessments and MLRO reports.
  • Thoroughly review AML policies and procedures of delegates to ensure compliance with Luxembourg legislation.
  • Provide regulatory updates and advice to the boards of the respective funds.
  • Act as the main point of contact with local authorities and regulators.
  • Serve as the first escalation point for any AML-related issues from the administrator, board, company’s investment manager, and distributors.
  • Analyze the regulatory landscape affecting the Management Company/AIFM business and monitor changes in regulatory and financial crime-related legislation.
  • Regularly review AML/CTF policies and desk procedures to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Work closely with oversight teams to provide third-party oversight.
  • Support the distribution of funds across all relevant jurisdictions.
  • Oversee, approve, and escalate financial crime concerns as needed.
