Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and participate in audits and audit strategy focused on model-related matters, leveraging your expertise to enhance risk management across the organization.
  • Cultivate relationships with stakeholders and senior management, effectively conveying key messages and insights gleaned from complex audits.
  • Apply well-established validation and testing techniques to both regulatory (e.g., AIRB, VaR/Expected Shortfall) and non-regulatory models (e.g., credit decision, pricing/valuation, IFRS, machine learning).
  • Champion the development of industry best practices and innovative modeling techniques, engaging with colleagues in model risk management, development, validation, measurement, and analytics departments.
  • Act as an Audit Lead when necessary, showcasing your leadership acumen and strategic thinking to guide audit teams toward successful outcomes.

Experience Required:

  • A proven track record of over 8 years in relevant audit roles within major banks, financial institutions, or consultancy firms, demonstrating your comprehensive understanding of audit processes and methodologies.
  • Strong grasp of model risk management principles, coupled with a solid understanding of internal audit procedures and the regulatory landscape.
  • Proficiency in influencing and supporting teams, both directly and indirectly, to achieve high levels of performance and collaboration.
  • Exceptional communication skills, enabling you to articulate complex ideas persuasively and secure buy-in from senior stakeholders and executives.
  • An international background within complex organizations, showcasing your ability to navigate intricate structures and comprehend associated risks and controls.
