Lead Pricing Actuary for Global Line Agriculture

JCW are currently working together with a leading re/insurance firm in the search for an Agriculture Pricing Actuary to be based in Zurich.

For this position, we are searching for experienced candidates with the following background:
- Seasoned pricing leader in the reinsurance industry, >7 years of relevant work experience
- University degree in agronomy, climatology/meteorology, environmental sciences, physics, maths, or similar quantitative subject
- A track record in reinsurance pricing or underwriting of specialty lines, agricultural risk modelling or natural catastrophe modelling
- Proven experience as a lead pricing actuary
- Excellent quantitative skills and experience with meteorological and/or agricultural data globally
- Powerful programming skills in R/R shiny or equivalent
- Excellent communication skills in English
- Following knowledge is an advantage
- Assessment of climate change impacts with a focus on agriculture
- Financial modelling and commodity market modelling
- Structuring of parametric insurance products
