Our client are a leading Financial Services organisation in Luxembourg. They are currently recruiting for a Director to join the firm who will play a pivotal role in leading and overseeing projects related to the development and maintenance of IT applications for running day-to-day operations. You will be responsible for managing a talented international team of developers, shaping the technological landscape, and driving innovation to ensure the success of our organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage international teams of developers in the design, development, testing, and maintenance of applications for the Financial Services industry.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project objectives, scope, and deliverables.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to ensure the successful execution of projects within established timelines and budgets.
  • Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment that encourages creativity, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Provide leadership in identifying and implementing emerging technologies to enhance our products and services.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, both internal and external.
  • Shape the long-term vision of the role, contributing to the growth and scalability of the team.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Advanced degree is a plus.
  • 15+ years of progressive experience in IT, with a focus on leading teams in the Financial Services industry.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale international projects from inception to completion.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively at all levels of the organization.
  • In-depth knowledge of the latest technologies and trends in the Financial Services sector.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to shape and drive the long-term vision of the role.
