Claims Specialist

JCW is currently working with an insurance provider looking to build out their General Liability/Auto Liability Claims Team and hire a candidate with strong experience in GL/AL Excess Claims.

They are looking to hire within their Cincinnati/L.A offices and require 1-2 days a week in person.

Responsibilities:

• Evaluate primary and excess insurance policies to understand coverage limits and terms.
• Collaborate with both carriers, coordinate claims, and negotiate settlements when primary coverage is exceeded.
• Maintain records, ensure regulatory adherence, and provide accurate information to stakeholders while managing excess claims.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of General Liability Claims and Excess Claims handling experience; JD from an ABA accredited law school preferred but not necessary
• Ability to affect complex claims outcomes through investigation, negotiation and effectively leading litigation
• Knowledge of litigation process and negotiation skills
