Senior Networking Engineer

JCW are currently seeking a Senior Networking Engineer to join Fintech firm in central Zurich.
Requirements:
- Excellent hands-on knowledge of IP unicast routing and multicast switching: BGP, OSPF, IPSEC, (R)STP, IGMP.
- Several years of experience in network engineering with a focus on low-latency networks, preferably in a trading or financial services environment.
- Experience in maintaining multi-vendor routing/switching and firewall environments.
- High familiarity with network design and implementation in cloud environments, primarily AWS.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Good understanding of Linux (RHEL).
- DevOps / automation-first mindset.
Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain trading venue's 24/7 low-latency network infrastructure.
- Collaborate closely with infrastructure engineers, market operators, and software developers to ensure optimal network performance and reliability.
- Troubleshoot network issues and implement corrective actions promptly.
- Participate in on-call rotation to provide 24/7 support for critical issues.
- Maintain network documentation and configurations.
- Work collaboratively with external specialists from our customers to ensure optimal network connectivity.
