We are working with an international consultancy providing comprehensive business advisory and financial services to a diverse client base. As a prominent player in the global market, they push to deliver exceptional results and innovative solutions to clients. We are currently seeking a highly qualified and experienced Senior Legal Manager to join our team in Belgium and contribute to continued success.

Responsibilities:

• Provide expert legal advice and guidance to the organization and clients on a wide range of business matters, with a particular focus on mergers and acquisitions (M&A) transactions.
• Offer strategic insights into legal risks and implications related to complex business decisions and transactions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure legal compliance and mitigate risks in various projects.

• Lead and oversee M&A transactions, conducting due diligence, contract negotiations, and deal structuring.
• Draft and review legal documents, such as agreements, contracts, and transactional documents, ensuring accuracy and adherence to legal requirements.
• Handle post-transaction matters, including integration and compliance matters.

• Stay up-to-date with the latest legal developments and regulatory changes in Belgium and relevant international markets.
• Develop and implement internal compliance procedures and policies to ensure the organization's adherence to legal standards and best practices.

• Supervise and mentor junior legal professionals, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented team environment.
• Provide training and professional development opportunities to team members to enhance their legal knowledge and skills.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Fluent in Dutch, French, and English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills in all three languages.
• Possess at least 8 years of relevant experience in a consultancy, law firm, or financial services environment, with a proven track record of handling complex legal matters and M&A transactions.
• In-depth knowledge of Belgian and international corporate law, contract law, and regulatory frameworks.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely completion and maintaining attention to detail.
• Strong leadership skills and the ability to guide and motivate a team of legal professionals.
• Exceptional problem-solving and analytical abilities, with a strategic mindset and a proactive approach to addressing legal challenges.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to build and maintain positive relationships with clients and stakeholders.
• A proactive and dynamic attitude, with the ability to adapt to changing circumstances in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
