Position Summary:

As an Operational Risk Analyst with our energy trading firm, you will be responsible for identifying, assessing, monitoring, and mitigating operational risks across the organization. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, evaluate our internal processes, and implement risk management strategies to ensure the integrity and reliability of our operations. This role is pivotal in maintaining our commitment to excellence and ensuring the continued growth of the business.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of operational risk across various business units.
• Identify potential weaknesses in processes and controls and recommend improvements.
• Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies in alignment with industry best practices.
• Monitor and report on risk indicators, incidents, and losses.
• Collaborate with business units to implement and manage risk controls.
• Assist in the creation and maintenance of operational risk policies and procedures.
• Stay updated on industry regulations and standards, ensuring compliance.
• Contribute to the development of risk training programs and awareness initiatives.
• Provide support during risk audits and assessments.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or related field. A master's degree or professional certification (e.g., FRM, PRM) is a plus.
• 3+ years of experience in operational risk management, preferably within the energy trading or financial industry.
• Strong knowledge of operational risk frameworks, concepts, and best practices.
• Proficiency in risk assessment and modeling tools and techniques.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• A keen eye for detail and the ability to work under pressure.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and risk management software.
• Knowledge of energy markets and trading operations is a plus.
