Manager/SM, Closed-end Fund Accounting

JCW is recruiting on behalf of an investment management firm looking to bring on a Senior Manager of Fund Accounting. Based in Los Angeles, the Senior Manager plays a pivotal role in the fund accounting team involving maintaining accurate records, complex calculations, reconciliations, reporting, and collaboration with auditors and administrators. This is a hybrid work arrangement with 3 days in their LA office.

Key responsibilities:

• Maintaining accurate books and records for private partnerships and accounts.
• Producing and reviewing complex management fee and waterfall calculations.
• Reconciling cash, investments, and balance sheet accounts.
• Managing purchase and sale transactions, as well as accounting for corporate actions.
• Handling accruals and income/expense allocations to partners.

Requirements:

• Bachelors degree required; Major in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration preferred
• 8 years of relevant accounting or audit experience, investment management industry experience preferred
• A strong foundation in reconciliation and account analysis
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; capable of working in a team environment and autonomously
