Head of Wholesale Casualty

JCW is currently working with a growing specialty insurer who's looking to add an experienced VP Casualty Underwriter. In this role, you will be working closely with the head of casualty to build out/grow out their primary casualty book of business.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and underwrite a profitable portfolio of Primary Casualty with a focus on pricing and exposure management
- Implementing a KPI-driven performance review system to assess and manage portfolio production effectively, while collaborating with the actuarial team and other stakeholders
- Create and execute a distribution strategy within the Wholesale Primary Casualty market
Qualifications
- 12+ years of experience in primary casualty underwriting
- Strong wholesale broker relationships
- Entrepreneurial mindset, appetite to build out a book of business from the ground up
