You work in a Financial Control department with 10 other colleagues, supporting management in reporting, tax, administration, budgeting and forecasting, financial analysis and controls.
As Financial Controller and Reporting specialist you will:
- Be responsible for a correct and complete financial administration and (consolidated) reporting for all entities (15+) in our structure;
- Set up financial reports and prepare reconciliations including monthly consolidation, cost allocation and annual consolidated financial statements and reporting to supervisors (MESRAP/MER);
- Actively participate in the monthly and annual closing as a member of the financial control team in their day to day operations;
- Write accounting memos on IFRS treatment of complex transactions and events including a challenge of the IFRS 9 provisioning levels prepared by Risk and advise management on the required level of provisioning;
- Maintain and update the Transfer Pricing model and perform cash management in accordance with that model, including assisting Treasury in performing cash transfers;
- Control and monitoring the administration of monthly payroll outsourced to external payroll company
- Manage and improve our AO-IC processes and contribute to projects and specific requests impacting the Financial control department
- Coordination of external audit and outsourced administrative processes to Trust companies
To be successful in this position you are someone who is experienced in the finance domain. You have strong analytical skills and work accurately. Being part of a small, agile team, working together is very important. This also means that you are capable of shifting between more analytical, high level activities and day to day execution of tasks. Since you work a lot with people inside and outside our organization, it is very important that you have excellent contact and communication skills. And further:
- You have completed an education program (Bachelor or Master) in the direction of Business Economics, Accountancy or related;
- You have 5 to 7 years of work experience in a similar position;
- Preferably you have gained experience in the financial sector;
- Knowledge of IFRS accounting principles;
- Knowledge of AFAS accounting system is a plus
- You are not afraid of change and you help us to continuously improve our processes and procedures;
- Your English is fluent both in word and writing
