Associate, Portfolio Construction and Risk Management

JCW is currently hiring a Project Construction and Risk Management Associate for an established asset management company in Los Angeles, California. This company is currently sitting at $163 million in assets under management and is looking to build out its portfolio operations and support team. Responsibilities:

• Daily management of portfolio operations, cash management, asset allocation and support for the portfolio management team with both internal and external ad-hoc requests.
• Understanding the company’s systematic investment process, markets invested in, financial instruments used and the reporting processes in order to support portfolio management teams, clients, related consultants and prospects.
• Preparing performance contribution/attribution analysis, benchmark analysis, and other reports for portfolio managers, marketing, and client relations.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree required with 3-6 years experience working at an asset management company, financial services company, or investment bank doing risk management, analysis, or portfolio operations.
• Understanding of SQL, Python, C#, SSRS/PowerBI/Tableau, or Visual Basic.
• Detail/team oriented with an ability to independently research problems and offer solutions.
