Responsibilities:
As an ALM Officer, you will have the opportunity to:
  • Optimize Asset and Liability Management: Collaborate with their talented teams in Investment Management, Treasury, and Risk Management to fine-tune asset and liability management strategies, directly contributing to their mission of providing accessible and affordable healthcare.
  • Operational Excellence: Ensure the successful implementation of ALM strategies across Legal Entities and Branches, playing a pivotal role in enhancing their financial stability.
  • Risk Management: Be a key player in risk management through scenario analysis and stress testing, ensuring that Premier Healthcare Services is well-prepared for any financial challenges.
  • Market Risk Management: Take charge of the market risk platform, performing quarterly calculations to safeguard their financial strength.
  • Investment Portfolio Oversight: Monitor the performance of their investment portfolio and anticipate future performance based on ever-evolving market conditions, enabling them to continue delivering quality healthcare solutions.
  • Compliance and Reporting: Ensure strict compliance with investment-related policies and promptly report any breaches, helping to maintain their reputation as a trusted healthcare partner.
  • Providing Insights: Offer high-quality management information at committee meetings, where your insights will be instrumental in shaping their healthcare strategy.
  • Collaborative Spirit: Collaborate closely with risk management, treasury, and investment departments to ensure a holistic and coordinated approach to investment-related activities, ultimately benefiting their members and patients.
  • Actuarial Support: Extend your expertise to support the broader actuarial department on a diverse range of projects related to reserving and forecasting, contributing to the sustainability of their healthcare offerings.

Requirements:
To excel in this role, you should possess:
  • An educational background in actuarial science, engineering, finance, business, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in insurance modelling, demonstrating your expertise in this domain.
  • Exposure to investments, risk management, ALM, VaR, and interest rates.
  • Solid knowledge of regulatory requirements and treasury operations within the healthcare industry.
  • Exceptional analytical skills, allowing you to dissect complex financial data and draw valuable insights.
  • Fluent English language skills; proficiency in other languages is a plus, given their diverse global reach.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • A strong desire for continuous learning and the ability to expand your skillset through on-the-job experiences and self-guided development.
