JCW's End of Summer Party, 2019!

Nicola Lawler

Last week we had our End of Summer Party to celebrate the summer (did London really get one?) and all the success our clients, candidates and JCW have had in 2019 so far. It’s been a really productive year for JCW and we were pleased to catch up with long-standing clients and candidates from Shell, Deutsche Bank, Deloitte, Barclays, Capgemini and more, to see how they were getting on.

Of course, it wouldn’t be a JCW party without free-flowing drinks and his time we hired Roulette and Blackjack tables with professional dealers for an evening of casino games to raise money for the Little Princess Trust.

The crowd going all in for a game of Blackjack. Does anyone ever really beat the dealer?

Like the hallmark of any successful gambling evening, we had winners, losers, and what would have been people filing for bankruptcy. Luckily, we weren’t playing in real currency even though at times it did feel that way!

Winners on the evening!

It was everything to play for with a charity donation in it and the chance to be one of the top three biggest winners of the evening. In the end, the people who came away with the most chips were::

1st place, Tyler Sullivan with £3,100 worth of chips. He won a £200 voucher to spend at any one of Gordon Ramsey’s restaurants.

2nd place, Amelia Grocock with £1,170 worth of chips. She won a £100 Amazon voucher.

3rd place, John Muir with £760 worth of chips. He won a bottle of Moet and was also the biggest charitable donor on the night!

Congratulations you three!

Charitable Giving for The Little Princess Trust

Of course, the biggest winners on the night were the Little Princess Trust. They provide free, real-hair wigs for children with cancer experiencing the very upsetting effects of hair loss. They also fund pioneering, life-saving research into childhood cancers.

It looks as though together we raised £405 for a great cause. If this is a cause close to your heart or you’d just like to donate yourself you can do so here.

Between catching up with people, absurd luck on the tables and the flabberghasted faces of people who played without a second thought that they could lose, we had a great evening!

We look forward to seeing some more familiar faces next time.
