Head of Construction

I am retained on a search for a Head of construction for one of the fastest-growing European Renewable Energy Businesses positioned across utility-scale solar and wind developments.

The role oversees construction operations across Germany where they currently have around 1.8GW of projects in the pipeline and have recently secured more investment through PE. This is a Key role for the organisation, they are offering unrivaled career development opportunities and a competitive package.

The ideal candidate should have at least 10 years of experience in construction management, knowledge of HVDC and grid connection, and extensive experience in the renewable energy sector.

Responsibilities include:

• Managing third parties including EPC vendors
• Collaborate in the tendering processes (RFQ/RFP) in technical requirements, contract discussions.

· Good understanding of project design drawings and able to participate in discussions with designers (Pre-Executive design) and BOP Contractors.

· Supervises the quality of services and products provided by external suppliers

· Defines, prepares and control the documentation to be able to start timely a construction of the renewable energy project

· Under coordination with procurement department, to prepare technical documentation and scope for bidding procedure for external suppliers

· Schedules project steps and works to achieve the most efficient, timely and cost effective construction of photovoltaic or wind farm

· Supervision and control of the design and construction requirements set forth in the applicable Building Permit

· Reports project status, recommends solutions and informs about potential risks to the Board
